Surprising Reasons Why Women Love To Shop
A lot of men wonder why women simply love to shop. Is it because they’re into fashion that much? Do they hate money that’s why they keep on spending it? Do they really have to buy a new set of clothes, shoes, bags, almost every month? It is indeed pretty obvious that women love to shop way more than men, by simply looking at the chairs on almost every boutique where there are guys waiting for their women to be done. So why exactly do women love to shop till they drop? There are a couple of reasons and here are some of them.
[su_quote cite=”unknown” class=”cust-pagination”] “Too many people buy things they don’t need, with money they don’t have, trying to impress people they don’t even like” [/su_quote]
REASON 1: To show off
Unfortunately, some women, not every woman though, tend to shop just so they could show off, especially in the social media. They would post where they are, what they’re buying and then afterward they would take photos of what they actually bought. Women buy clothes and shoes most of the time, so they often like to show it all off when going out. It’s a form of an ego boost for women, while for men, it can be in a form of cars being upgraded or video games.
[su_quote cite=”Sophie Kinsella” class=”cust-pagination”]“When I shop, the world gets better, and the world is better but then it’s not, and I need to do it again”[/su_quote]
REASON 2: It’s all about fashion
When a woman say that she has nothing to wear, that just mean that either she doesn’t want to wear a certain type of clothing for the second time, or that her clothes doesn’t fit her perfectly anymore, or that she doesn’t have any clothes to wear on the proper occasions or she just simply couldn’t find any clothing that would suit this season’s trend. When it comes to women, it will always be about the fashion, they must always be in style and they would sometimes consider celebrities and socialites as trend setters, that is why they always feel like they need to go shopping.
[su_quote cite=”Prada” class=”cust-pagination”]“What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today, when human contacts are so quick, fashion is instant language.”[/su_quote]
REASON 3: Shopping is Therapy
Another reason is what the usually call, a retail therapy. It is described as a therapy for people, especially women, who are going through a rough road in their lives, and shopping can help them get their mind off of things and it could also lift their moods. Although, there is no medical or psychological proof that this kind of therapy actually works. People who are most likely to be depressed tend to turn to shopping as their way forgetting their problems. It is often compared to drug addiction and alcohol addiction since it is always considered to be an escape route for people who are going through something.
REASON 4: There’s always a sale
When there is a sale on a particular shop, women are always their target consumers, simply because ladies just couldn’t resist a sale. It is already given that women love to shop, and they just love it even more if everything is like cheaper than they are usually. No one sees men going crazy waiting and lining-up for a shop to open just because there is a sale going on. Some stores use this as a strategy to attract customers, and it obviously works every time.
REASON 5: Material Girls
It is a fact that women indeed love to see the things that they have, that is why they love to shop. They feel pleasure when they go to a store and see certain things like shoes, bags, clothes, and they would buy them even if they have like tons in their closet. Shopping can be considered as an addiction as well, especially in women, because they tend to be naturally materialistic.
If you are a woman, do you agree on the following answers above regarding women and shopping? If you’re a man, do you believe that it is natural for a woman to love shopping? Leave a comment to let us know what you think and share this article with your family and friends.
