Jennifer Lopez Shares Inspiring Rag to Riches Tale, ‘My Shoes had Holes’

Most of the celebrities we see on the big screen have amassed vast amount of wealth and are worth millions and even billions of dollars. But just because they’re rich now doesn’t mean that they were born rich. In fact, there are so many A-listers who rose from humble beginnings and their rags-to-riches stories have left us in awe. Our sweetheart Jennifer Lopez is truly ‘Jenny from the Block’ because she literally came from nothing, but is living a life a luxury today.

The 47-year-old singer has a net worth of $300 million today, but she hasn’t forgotten her modest upbringing in the poor neighborhood of the Bronx. While talking  about her past, Lopez said that she grew up with torn shoes that had holes in them. Today, she has an entire closet dedicated to Louboutins and other luxury footwear brands.

She appreciates that life has been kind to her and she is trying to give back to society. After having kids with her former partner Marc Anthony, J-Lo realized the importance of giving her children the right upbringing by acting as a role model to them.

The singer is always searching for ways to live a fulfilling life through life coaches, yoga, meditation, self-help, and more meditation.  She grew up believing in a fairy tale that a Prince was coming to save her and give her true love. Unfortunately, love has not been fair to the singer who has divorced thrice.
